为什么their不能指ceo's呢？难道用逻辑可以排除歧义？

b为什么错呢？是不是后面compares to 42 times in 1980,省略的太多，不完整了？

现在想想我也不是很理解了。

我本来想CEO's虽然是复数（earn为复数形式判断），但是不能用their来指代，因为CEO's不是人，但是CEO's到底是什么东西呢？如果是CEO's pay的话就不能用earn来做谓语了呀。糊涂了！

compares to 42 times in 1980不能用的原因应该是会引起歧义，到底是哪个的42倍。补出their pay就是为了消除歧义吧。

个人意见，继续讨论！！

CEO’s是CEO的复数。因为CEO是简称(可以还因为它的最后一个字母是元音)，所以它的复数是CEO’s而不是CEOs。从题目所有的选项来看，没有一个是把CEO’s当成所有格来用的。

我也觉得应该选B。
