twice+what从句是一个特殊用法，可以回答关于OG404的问题，只是不知道GMAC对这种说法似乎不prefer,也许大全404的说法不会在出现在GMAT中。

it指代不清肯定是correctiveness错误，但what it was结构不一定错，它可能不满足awkward, wordy等effectiveness要求，但如果没有correctiveness错误，在没有更好选项的情况下也是对的。

就没法解释了.不知道大侠可否给出一个关于这两题一个合理的解释.我本人的理解是:

OG11-4那题,只所以没有选C,是因为it 指代不明确,而不是什么"C What it was is awkward, wordy and unclear".而大全987-404可以选C twice what it was in, 是因为这里的it 有明确的指代---the rate.

不知道这样理解是否正确,请NN们指点!谢先!

再次请教double的词性及For的使用

我的观点是double是副词，依据有二：1）这里double是可以与twice互换的，而twice只有一种词性，副词；2)薄冰高级语法中，有对double这种用法的清楚解释，大家可以去看看。

另外，同等情况下，好像ETS更倾向于用Twice.
