I don't think they read my essay or resume. The interviewer just got my resume and read it for 5 minutes and asked me a lot of questions about career, why MBA, why chicago, career goal and stuff...
About Chicago over wharton, I don't think it's the right question here. Everybody choose a school because it fits their own needs. So you don't have to say that one school is better than another, but you have to convince them that this one is more for you!
I think Chicago is specific in it's own way: the freedom it offers to students to choose their own curriculum without any required courses in the first year is suitable for people with a very clear goal and know want they want. Also the strong academic fundamental is worth mentioning. I listed the classes that are related to my career goal. And he happened to take that course, so the conversation went very smoothly... |
