You guys all have the recommendation letter real confidential? Do you prepare the sample letter and give it to the recommender to check it and sign on it or just ask them to write on their own? Do you check it after get the letter back from your recommender to make sure that they don't give any negative words in the letter? In this case, how do you manage the signature on the envelop? Some people draft the recommendation letter, some have the recommenders write for them. In terms of the rankings, I suggest you to talk to your recommenders and see how they would like to rank you before you decide which one to pick.
