如果把may study看作与主句并列，则used前面应该有and连接才对

但是为什么C省略了may？？

支持楼上。我觉得A显然是不对的。use和study不可能和hope并列，从逻辑上说不通。

估计是答案错误。

may可以省略是因为句子一开始就说Doctors “hope”。

在英文中用hope表达的内容  其实已经隐含了may的意思。
