答案是D， 我选A。差别在于had, 我觉得不对啊，要用也用did吧，had补全不成了"had had less of ..."    可以参考大全428 ”they still expect to live better than their parents did“

关于第二题：

a，better control,of the other infections such as xxx这样的结构是错误的。这个逗号出现的很莫名，后面几个选项都提供了解决办法，就是后面是个插入语 。

b，such like ，一定错的答案；而且，what they had not previously considered a possibility 逻辑意思很绕。

e的就完全的不通了。

d，错误很多，比如perhaps eradication,是用副词修饰名词。

我不是牛，希望大家互相提高，恳请其他ggjj指正 。

falileo,你好,我觉得是这样的,答案a里面的 of the other infections such as,正如你觉得的c的错误,a的错误就在the  other上面,the other,一般的用法是和one一起出现,说明两个以上的,固定的同类事物的情况,就是说，有特指的意思。,one..the other(s)...,这个是托福语法上面要求的.而且，在这个句子里面，我看不出说话人要特指那个疾病的意思。

不知道你觉得怎么样？

关于第一题，我觉得，最大的问题在small,这个词在英文中，是用来说明具体的事物，比如small dog，说明这个东西的形体比较小，而说明a commitment to work and a career (不知道怎么翻译适合,意思是工作义务和事业)这样的抽象名词,不用small.less ,这里是名词,意思是少量的,在英文里面,比较常用的是less of+限定词(比如定冠词)+不可数名词,表示少量的......

不知道你觉得怎么样?请指教

第二题: Others such as....ETS总是认为应该改成such...as...更简洁。OG中有两三题这样的例子。不妨作为规律记住。

第一题：谓语动词是要补出的，因为比较对象是young people have less of ...than their parents and grandparents had. 但我有一点不明白的是，按照OG的说法，第二个had应该表示 had had,及它本身是一个助动词，不是实意动词。那么正确答案就应该是用did 而非had。你确信原句是had？

我觉得还有，就是have。

have作为动词"拥有"讲的时候,可以提到句前表示疑问.就是说,具有实意动词的助动词的双重性质.所以,这里用had重复比较对象没有错.

请指教

自己补充一点： Q2, something 后的that可以省，因为在从句中做宾语。
