The average age comes from all MBA students, both FT and PT.  For the working experience, FT students have quite different working experience and different working duration. We are from different industries, such as bank, IT, logistics, pharmacy, government, international trade,  etc.  Hope I answered your question.

The MBA program along with the class reps would like to invite you to the Official HKU MBA Christmas Dinner on Saturday, December 17th, 2005.  rof. Chris Chan has also invited faculty members to celebrate the holiday season with the class as well as the completion of three months of study!!  To encourage attendance from the entire class, we are happy to announce that the school has partially subsidized the cost for each student.

Price per MBA Student: HK$200 includes buffet dinner, two drinks and wine.  

Price for Guests of Students: HK$300 with same inclusion

  

Attached please find the dinner buffet menu, if you have any special dietary requirement let your class rep know upon payment.

  

As the date is approaching very quickly, we will require all payments by 6.30pm on Wednesday, December 14th to pay the restaurant deposit and finalize the reservation numbers.  

  

To simplify the collection process, please pay cash to your class reps (listed below) at any of the following classes:

FT Students - Marketing Management Class on Monday or Wednesday 2-5pm

FT Students - Managerial Finance Class on Tuesday 2-5pm

PT Students - Marketing Management Class on Tuesday 6.30-9.30pm

FT/PT Students - Entrepreneurial and Innovation Class on Monday or Wednesday 6.30-9.30pm (Deadline is 6.30pm on Wednesday)

  

Thank you for those who has already confirm your attendance by email.  For those who has not replied, just approach your class rep in class and pay by the deadline.  

  

Should you not be able to pay in these specific times, please make personal arrangements with a classmate to pay for you during the above time.  Class reps will not accept any 'I owe you' payments or create any personal 'account receivables'. If the payment is not received by 8 pm on Wednesday, December 14th, we will assume you are not attending the event and we cannot guarantee a spot for you for the dinner.  

  

For this event, everyone will be participating in the 'Secret Santa' game.  Everyone must bring a wrapped present that is under HK$25 in value (try to be as creative as possible as the most unique present provider will win a prize!!!).  The present will be collected upon arrival at the dinner party and everyone will pick a present out of the bag during the dinner. So to ensure that everyone has a present, DO NOT FORGET TO BRING YOUR PRESENT (or you will be asked to go to the nearest 7-11 or Mannings to get something!!)

GMAT>650 is the necessary criteria. Scholarship will based on overall evaluation of candidates, such working experience, interview performance and education background.

For mainland students, if you are serious with GMAT, 650 is very easy. On the contrary, in our class, for many foreign students, 650 GMAT score is very difficult. Maybe two reasons: 1. Chinese students are more fimiliar with 4-choices questions. 2. GMAT's maths part is easy for Chinese studen. Our high school education gave us too many training about maths.

Math training is the same as in Taiwan. However, we lose the ability of "critical thinking" under Chinese education system.  We can get high score easily; however, we are not as creative or as innovative as those top Americans and Europeans.  The people who raise the avg Gmat of those null schools are mostly 1. Chinese 2. Indians   

For HK students , they do think to invest a lot of time on fighting for a good Gmat score is a waste. You can check with your HK friends, they tend to use the same time to make more money
