[原创]Columbia, Wharton and Chicago, which one is the best in your mind?

Yes. MS means Master degree of Science, i guess.

Warren got one in '51. he focused on finance...actually, he didn't need and MBA at all..

我是绝对的Wharton的支持者。如果学财务Columbia,Chicago确实是一个很好的选择。不过我从自己接触的几个人身上得到了很多的启发。

我认识一个以前做工程的，去了Columbia两年。和他聊下来，他自己也说了Columbia太偏财务了，所以当初他放弃Tuck去了Columbia，实际是一个错误的选择。因为他更需要往general management方向发展。虽然纽约是很好找工作，但是如果两年学不到自己最需要的，损失就大了。

也问过朋友的奶奶，一个商学院退休的教授。她说Wharton,Tuck都是first tier的商学院，不光学理论，还非常注重学生其他方面的培养。Chicago不错，但是太学术化了。Columbia没有做出自己的特色来，除了Finance不错之外。

I partly agree with you, yumen_zhu

But I guess Finance means more than 财务，i think 金融 is a better description of  Columbia's strong area....;-)

Actually, what  I would like to get from Columbia is to communicating with many gurus there, as I mentioned in the previous posts...;-)

Columbia is better than NYU, I think...Columbia is strong not only in finance, but also in Literature and Journalism....Some household names among our Chinese are related to it, such as Liang ShiQiu....

I am a desperate fan of Columbia...:-( I can say sorry to someone if I do hurt you,though I don't think I should..:-)

haha...agree with realize, but seems that Chinese people don't know much of Columbia. Most of the applicants dash for Chicago and Wharton, who seems to be Chinese friendly....

Columbia have too many part-time master programmes, which exert negative impacts on its brand names. Many of these part-time programmes are business or finance related. And some of them don't even have GMAT/GRE requirements. Anyway, if you have money, it is pretty easy to get a Master from Columbia.
