ETS不喜欢用WITH是因为，WITH容易造成歧义，而放在句首的WITH是没有歧义的。所以不能因为有WITH所以就马上排除这个答案。

我选择c,我觉得大家过分关注ETS的偏好，实际上ETS没有什么偏好，只是在情况下用合适，比如说新东方的有个老师讲的being,说看见他就错，实际上远不是这样。。。。等等，有好多先例，我觉得关键是体会句子的感觉比如说there be,不好的原因是因为它缺少人性化，所以不生动，但是在某种情况下只有用它。。

我觉得回答问题的时候说ets不喜欢不具备说服力，只能说又比这个更好的表达方式。。。。

z520m的分析很到位，每个大案都说得很清楚，我再补充点，B的结构缺乏句子，全部是短语拚起来的。。d还有个问题是插入语的方式用得太多。。特别是 for about four cents an acre，它要不放在句首，要不放在purchase 的后面做补语，放在中间不太和逻辑，特别是在已经有一个插入语的情况下。。e中间的it指代错误。。
