这道题确实是大争议，我选的是C，但我再来看a的时候，我发现是不是重点是在谓语动词的单复数上，这句话的其实说的是Research  has revealed great complexity instead of underlying simplicity。on the nature of language and the processes that produce and make it understandable都是修饰research的。而我一开始认为主语是Research and the processes，所以选C。各位NN的意见呢？

A的意思就是研究揭示了巨大的复杂性而非简单性，这种研究是针对语言的本质和产生语言并使其易于了解的过程的。

似乎更make sense。

我心中的一个结是从句义上讲，A中的make it understandable和C中的by which it's produced的it都指nature of language，有没有高手可以从语法上给我分析下为什么啊？我觉得这里的it指代相当不清啊

做题目的时候选 C 了，现在有点倾向 A。

的确从语义上讲 process that make it understandable 和 process by which it is understood 有所区别， C 可以说改变了原意。从这点出发还是 A 较好。A 里面共用宾语 it 和 instead of 的表达还是可以接受的。不过这题太纠结了，估计再碰到还是会不自觉的选上 C

对于 process by which 和 process that 的表达，我特意查了大全，竟然只有后者，不知道是否可以作为 ETS 偏向 A 的佐证？留给后人判断吧
