好像ETS的标准是能省一定要省，不省就是wordy。

E里面的they 明显就是典型例子。

谢谢5楼，但是我还是想问：难道E中的they不会有指代上的问题？

their round and red supermarket中their很明确指代Heirloom tomatoes，同意句子中的they一定指代Heirloom tomatoes。只是E过于繁琐了。但是D错在or后面要根句子而不是短语，再说with结构也不好。

请问楼主在哪里找到的GWD21??

隔了一段时间，今天再做这题，反而觉得a是对的。

因为cousins前面有round and red作为修饰，所以从逻辑上讲often green and striped,只能修饰主语Heirloom tomatoes，没有歧义。后面的 but are也把they去掉了，觉得比e好。

如果说歧义，严格意义上讲的话，e的they也有可能指代counsins啊！主要是我弄不明白，最后but they are的they为什么要保留，反而觉得a去掉they更好
