All the three should be good enough to prep you to go anywhere.
H is the good place to go if you want to do PE in US. But in reality, most of those HBS students went to PE are previously analysts of PE firms. You will often see 50% of a firm is from HBS.
That said, being in HBS alone won't help much. Even you're from McK or Goldman, you don't stand much chance there because there are 50 others at HBS with same background.
Anyway, fully agree that HBS is a great school but I don't think placement in PE means much to ordinary students.
Stanford should be the right place for VC guys, I guess.

Yale and Yale SOM are very friendly to Chinese. The protest you heard is because someone is trying to get media coverage for other reasons.
BTW, I have Chinese friends in other top bschools, most of which are of "higher rank". From what I heard and saw, Yale is not inferior by any means, if not better.
