E句子没有谓语。

看A。Over the course of the eighteenth century, the average output of ironwork tripled as a result of ...and because...这样的用法不好，感觉冗余。直接用其中一个表示原因就可以了。

B也有很多地方不好，a tripling不如tripled好；over the course of the eighteenth century,这个时间状语位于句首，应该修饰句子的谓语，在B中，修饰的就是due to，在原文中是修饰tripled这个动作的，所以改变了句子重心；后面的in addition to用来连接两个名词短语是不对的。

可是C，题目给出的答案我觉得也不好，因为看到charcoal’s being replaced 和后面的名词several improvements并列觉得也不好。

所以觉得很疑惑，希望大家指点，谢谢！！！

14: A 选项中 whereas lines of competion..., 和主句中 in the Internet industry they..比较结构不好.因为会产生不同工业的比较而不是不同工业的lines of competition比较.

B选项则避免了比较结构,改用可靠的转折从句.

18:我觉得如果拔将军,我选A,因为可以解释成原因的平行,虽然是从句和短语平行,但都为状语.C选项中1.one's doing,2.with doing...3.smelting of 都是ETS在OG中不能容忍的.所以错.

请NN们指教.
