E.The farming equipment manufacturer’s shareshave risen nearly 200 percent this year in that more investors have started tobelieve that the company will make more efficient tractors and people willflock to buy.

在(B)中,该句不恰当地指出,a "belief that the company will start to make more efficient tractors AND that people will flock to buy",两个 "that"字句都是修饰信念的,而第二个句子应该是修饰拖拉机的。
5. D
6. E
7. A
8. E:A's are to B what X is to Y
这道题就两个考点:that指代问题;in last year不能有in
10. (E)直到最后都是正确的(包含人们喜欢的 "so…that "的结构,而不是 "so as to"),其中也包含 "themselves"的错误。 说 "that they (the acts of nature) seem to be a metaphor…themselves"是没有意义的。 正确 - they seem to be a metaphor for the virtue of patience ITSELF"它们似乎是对耐心这一美德本身的一种隐喻" 。
