1.C× 正选E
C.D.逻辑上应该是using one thing and assuming another thing,应分开表达;且C中Assuming连接的两个部分不parallel
A.B.estimate的对象不是search engine’s worth,而是search engine对于worker而言的worth
E.Using..., and assuming...

AB.主语是Scholars,based on incorrectly modifies scholars。A中samples than that错误,应用those。B中samples than necessary错误,than后缺少noun。
D.them出现两次,指代不明
E.Agreement problem,the use和have enabled

3.E 正选E
ABD.term
C.empath是单数,persons是复数,不如E的a person

4.D 正选A
DE. Due to等价于Caused by,done, SVO结构中done只能修饰S,此处语义不符。

B.要与未划线部分的but was instead spent平行,dollars that was是最理想的结构
A.that were和后面的but was矛盾
D.which intended语态错误,应该用被动语态;x, y, and z并不平行
E.无法和but was instead spent平行

ACE.to program的主语一定是it,指代the computer
B.named such属于awkward;demonstrated时态错误,用simple present

7.C 正选C
AE.
ABD.有比较级必有than,less...than而不是less...compared to,冗余;且less successful with X than with Y的结构要完整

8.E 正选A(750-800难度)
C.isolate it错误,应用them,指代genes
DE.未划线部分的contesting it中it指代its patent,DE中its patents错误

9.D 正选D
ABC.from...to...要parallel
BE.from device to center,说明了cell phone的两种角色,centers错误

10.D 正选D
AB.
C.suggests是working verb,此处为comma splice error; you cannot write “the data was bleaker, suggests..."
E.more deep错误,是deeper;the nearing recession more...than that...
