1、
C times for whom
D
E being排
2、
C
D brings
A as well as 不放句首好像是
B the vital少了个the
C {besides also冗杂,buffering不正确,buffer才对}
E not only...but also后面不平行
4、
A 该是that of
B 同A
C and that跟谁平行?
D
5、
A 后面的不该用was doing因为后面有ever since,现在完成时的标志
E
6、
A 人statisticians不能based on
B with n. done
E basing it这个it指的什么,而且人也不能basing
7、
A 什么鬼
B 不行,one of them累赘了
D
E which修饰谁?rally吗?rally 去persuade gorm吗?
8、
D 同A
E
9、
B instead of 太绝对了
A ever since用现完,reigning错误
B 同A,is reigning也错{which opened过去时,后面的is reigning现在进行时,时间线不平行}
D {没谓语了}
E and which不对

x1C ABCE逻辑主语都不对D中 in which case感觉which指代整个句子不太合理,或许 in which case需要连一起看。
E not only but also不平行
8E A C different than排;对比合理D排;B as well as排
9D rather than 优于 instead of,AD犹豫,A中多了of,但是前面不仅result of,也有portion of,这个of并不是很必要,如果后面不是portion 而是一个不加of的,感觉有of指代更清晰;A主要还是paying与前面的从句不平行,排

Unlike elite runners, whose times are calculated from the starter's pistol to the finish line, marathon times are calculated using a computer chip attached to each competitor's shoe.
(A) Unlike elite runners, whose times are calculated from the starter's pistol to the finish line,
(B) Besides elite runners, whose times are calculated from the starter's pistol to the finish line,
(C) With the exception of elite runners, times for whom are calculated from the starter's pistol to the finish line,
(D) Unless the runner is elite, in which case the time is calculated from the starter's pistol to the finish line,
(E) With the exception being elite runners, whose times are calculated from the starter's pistol to the finish line,
2. besides
3. with the exception of X, Y 除...
Based on detailed research and analysis conducted over 20 years, statisticians at NYU have come to the conclusion that there is no advantage to using financial advisors who pick individual stocks over simply investing in broad index funds.
A) Based on detailed research and analysis conducted over 20 years
B) With 20 years of detailed research and analysis conducted
C) Using detailed research and analysis conducted over 20 years
D) By the detailed research and analysis conducted over 20 years
E) Basing it on 20 years of detailed research and analysis
The high costs to taxpayers were mostly a result of policies that guarantee cotton farmers a portion of their projected revenue, rather than of coverage paying them for damaged crops.
A rather than of coverage paying them for damaged crops
B instead of their coverage that pays for damaged crops
C as opposed to coverage paying them for damaged crops
D rather than coverage that pays them for damaged crops
E instead of coverage that pays them for damaged crop
1. rather than 宁可...
3. 用instead of会有of coverage和of revenue比较的歧义,所以用rather than更好
