1. D 考点比较
句意： orb-weaving spiders例如argiope建造轮形结构的网，....
A 用like举例 排除 后半句用with修饰了整个从句，语义逻辑不通
B spiders用builds，主谓不一致， with what is essentially a wheel-like structure awkward
C 改变了原句意思
E like不可以接从句 错误

2. 错选C 考点主谓一致 修饰
这句话明显是捡了西瓜丢了芝麻，为了句式正常丢了句意句意句意！
A they have already stimulated和主语new maritime code不匹配 错误
C 语法正确但句意改变，用modifier导致句子重心改变，就算结构好句意也是错误的！另外under provisions of the new maritime code是修饰basis for claims的，距离太远也是不优的
D this不可以裸奔 modifier issue同C

3. A 考点比较
比较结构应该是as+adj+as noun
只有A是正确的
补充：CD prep上指出有几种例外夹心可以加名词，但只限于几种形式，但无论如何，判断的点在于后面也应该有比较的宾语
但C的as low temperatures as 30 degrees Fahrenheit没有宾语作比较 因此是错误的

4. E 考点比较 主谓一致
主语是amounts of... 应该接复数形式谓语动词
排掉ABC
D able to be consumed表达繁杂，exceed by far固定搭配错误

5. 错选A 考点主谓一致
这道题也是非常不应该错，被倒不倒装搞懵逼了
其实还是一个逻辑：what引导的名词性从句的谓语动词应该根据动词后面名词的单复数来定
what is much more difficult to determine is...正确
what are much more difficult to determine are...正确
what are much more difficult to determine is...错误
what is much more difficult to determine are...错误
回到原题，主语period因此排除掉BCE
A和D之间根据以上的规则选择句内单复数一致的D

6. C 考点修饰 平行
这道题是薄弱点，虽然做对了但是用时非常长
重点分析一下句意：1868年8月13日，USSW号穿停靠在非洲港湾，（形容港湾的插入语），开在有海啸的crest里，并且来到了Atacama沙漠，（形容沙漠的插入语）
这道题在做题的时候一直在纠结anchored，总感觉如果用平行关系不是很说得过去，（都已经anchor了怎么还开船blablabla）。但仔细分析了其他句子发现句意都行不通。
A rode and coming不平行，后面it was run-on了 错误
B 用while连接语义不正确
D riding和achored不平行, 和后面的to come to rest也不平行 ，Desert后面没有逗号也不正确
E 平行结构同D, it had come to 同A run-on

7. 错选C 考点修饰 主谓一致
果然，修饰也是薄弱点
分析一下句意：美国革命的第一枪，（插入修饰1），（插入修饰2），被全世界知晓，但关于这些枪声的新闻用了4天才到达纽约，又用了11天才到达查尔斯顿。
这个句子很典型的长难句用插入修饰混淆视听
A which有指代shots的倾向，属于歧义in reaching NYC不太对，as well as表次级平行 错误
B in order to wordy， and also语义重复排除
C 我的错误点就在于对于原句理解的误判，一读原句就下定论，非限定性修饰were sent by swift messenger是错的，应该用限定性，限定不限定也要读句意，shots that were sent by messenger能正确么！长点心吧
D in addition不优，in order to wordy

8. D 考点比较 grammatical construction
because of后面不允许接从句
A sales being so bad错误

C because of 和becuase不平行，being so bad 同A
E because不平行，as bad as比较结构导致句意混乱

9. C 考点主谓一致 grammatical construction
主语是the bird，因此人生要保持单数
A their错误 with chattering when they fly语义错误 intended meaning应该是在飞的时候chatter

10. 错选A 考点比较
有点被conceived of带偏了没有见过这个用法导致理解错误，先理解句子
M对于radio的构思是一个可以替代电话的私密通话的工具，但实际上，它变成了完全相反的东西，一个和大众沟通的工具
补充一些conceived的固定搭配：
Conceive of (doing) something ->设想做的事情
Conceive of A as B ->将A设想为B
Conceive what/why/how ->设想啥
conceive sth. ->设想某事
A conception of radio 没有直接用动词的conceive of简洁
B but which 有就近指代private conversation的倾向，but前后不平行
