1. 错选D 考点 平行 to do/for doing的用法 主谓一致先排不平行的A/E, A破坏平行，E用thus接引没有这个用法（错了！thus表因果关系这里没有问题），E还有一个绝对错误在them无所指代，making it possible破坏平行
主语Japan's abundant rainfall and typically tem temperatures，复合主语用复数，排AB
剩下C/D 就是to do和for doing的问题，做题时认为to do表去做某事，而for raising是表为了做某事 （for doing是介词宾语短语，不能用it指代）

先排划线内部不平行的A/D/E
D的their keeping表达不优
剩下B/C

这道题应该选择E！！！Ron说4 million in population是unidiomatic的表达。后面那个and连接many也不对，E的表达是对的。
