The assessment is in three parts, intended to demonstrate your proficiency in the core skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking.

Task 1 - Use of English (25 minutes)

This contains 50 multiple-choice questions to assess academic grammar and vocabulary.

Task 2 - Integrated Skills (60 minutes)

This has three sections:

Listening to a short academic lecture and taking notes (approximately 14 minutes);
Reading an academic article (around 1,200 words) and taking notes;
Writing a comment (approximately 250 words).
You will be asked to discuss the listening and reading in the interview.

Task 3 - An interview using Zoom (10-15 minutes)

In the interview, you will be asked to discuss a range of topics including:

Your academic interests, experience and goals/expectations;
The reading and listening on work-life balance;
Your written comment.
