下面是SOLUTIONS里对D的解释：
(D) This choice corrects the relative pronoun error by replacing "which has resulted" with "resulting." However, it does not correct the verb error.  It replaces "to favor" with "to be in favor of," creating the illogical sequence "a political climate that...to be in favor of."

按照答案的解释这句话的意思是：  the polital cilimate favors managemnent， 那请问some analysts claim 在这里是干嘛的呢？
百度了一下claim 的用法，有claim that...      claim to be/as n./adj. ”充当补足语的复合宾语。
所以原句意思应该是：some analysts claim that a political climate fovors managment
那不就变成了：resulting in a political climate （that some analysts claim） favors management ... 这个句式好迷啊，求大佬们指点迷津~

前几天才做到这种题，作为小白，当时也疑惑了很久。

经过查了很多资料发现，这种结构叫做 “嵌入式关系分句”，也有人理解为不加逗号的插入语。当然了，叫什么不重要，重点是要理解这种结构。


举几个例子，楼主可以感受一下，很好懂：

The World Wildlife Fund has declared that global warming, a phenomenon most scientists agree to be caused by human beings in burning fossil fuels, will create havoc among migratory birds by altering the environment in ways harmful to their habitats.

楼主看看第一道题的”most scientists agree“和第二道题的“they may not think”是不是和你问题问的“some analysts claim”的功能结构相同呢？这个结构就是“嵌入式关系分句”。

章振邦的《新编英语语法》（CD上有下载），在1193—1395页赫然发现一个语法词条——嵌入式关系分句，详解如下：
"有一种关系分句（即定语从句），它既是先行项的后置修饰语（即定语），同时又是另外一个分句结构的宾语（即宾语从句）"此分句结构就被嵌入在定语从句中，即嵌入式关系分句。

该书举例：In his breast-pocket he had a patch of scarlet, which I suppose was the paper cap serving as a handkerchief.


这里的 I suppose换成 I think, I believe, I may not think, I agree 等等等 都是一样的结构，which 后面你直接跳这个结构去找正确的谓语动词形式，让which定语从句成为一个完整句子。
上面两道题 a phenomenon that most scientists agree is caused by human beings' burning of fossil fuels,  你把这个结构跳过去不看 which is caused by XXX 也必须是一个完整的句子。
statements about an opponent that they may not think are true.  其实就是 statements (about XXX修饰) 【嵌入结构】that are true.


最后回到楼主的问题：
还是同样的方法做题，把这个嵌入结构some analysts claim拿掉之后，
B选项是 resulting in a political climate that favors, that做主语修饰climate，favors第三人称单数+s，主谓一致，正确；
而D选项拿掉之后变成 resulting in a political climate that to be in favor of，that to be 没有谓语动词，肯定错误。
如果你不把D选项理解为这个结构，而是把that 后面 some analysts claim to be in favor of management 理解为一般的定语从句修饰climate。
语法和逻辑也是都讲不通的。

啊，超级感谢！原来是嵌入式关系分句！我以前其实也碰到过很多但没注意，像你说的“In his breast-pocket he had a patch of scarlet, which I suppose was the paper cap serving as a handkerchief.”我以前读起来很顺就不会觉得有问题，也没考虑过是“嵌入式关系分句”。突然遇到题目里这种就懵了，谢谢~

求解答！！虽然理解了嵌入式关系分句 但是对原题的正确选项还是有个问题
resulting in是一个修饰部分 如果按照resulting in a political climate (that some analysts claim) favors... 这后面难道不是一个完整的句子了吗？
resulting in后面可以接完整句子吗？？？
