假设E正确的话 having erupted就表示了erupt的这个动作发生在 the molten rock known as lava was an underground remnant of Earth's earliest days这件事情之前，并没有任何表示时间前后的状语，说这两个动作的前后。 所以用having erupted进行修饰不对。不知道能否解决你的问题。

现在完成时的所谓“延续到现在”指的是这个动作的影响延续到现在并可能继续影响未来，不是动作本身延续到现在。描述自然规律几乎不可能用完成时，因为既然是规律就一定是动作延续到现在（以及未来）

一起从头开始

“having sporadically erupted” 是修饰modifier, 用having强调erupt发生在主句的时态之前, 所以这里用having语义逻辑上就错了.
