【选校求建议】哥大erm vs HKU mfin vs LSE gmim

了解！感谢回复！想再请问下层主，拿lse管理学的master在求职时会有所局限吗？会不会被公司在简历上卡专业呢？虽然我有在未来打算考一下cfa，但是管理学的课程说得不好听就是有点虚，选修的别的系的课程也不会写进毕业证书里，以及我的本科还是拿经济学学士...怎么都跟金融不是很对口（尴尬）

You don't need a finance degree exactly for a finance role.

Indeed quite many role in the industry is fit the best with major other than finance.
(and that's why most top universities doesn't offer a business only bachelor, and most top US universities don't border to offer a MSF for fresh graduate.)

It is time for you to tell a story why do you think that economics, management background and skills are helpful in the role you are going to apply for.(that is quite easy for things like accounting, economics, statistics, finmath, business/maangement, risk, BA and etc for quite some roles, but it will be quite a task for things like ERM.)


P.S. for LSE GMiM:
You may choose to concentrate your electives in a certain topic area, which would be recognised in the degree title you are awarded with.

感谢感谢！其实关于lse gmim第二年，我还有在想要不要选CEMS／MBA交换，对口学校也都挺好的...如果这样选就几乎是纯管理方向的课了

I guess the course available for MBA exchange is quite flexible.
for CEMS.......that's a concern.
