答案是D，但是题目中have observed已经是scientists的动词了，consistent with又是findings的动词，逗号不能连接两句句子，这个是个明显的语法错误吧？我当时因为这个原因直接把D排除了。结果正确答案是D，有大神可以解释一下吗？

findings consistent with the growth of industrial activity in the area 并不是一句话，只是一个noun后面加了修饰这个noun的modifier。
findings are consistent with the growth of industrial activity in the area 才是一句话。如果是这样的话，就会有你说的错误。

Noun后面加修饰语并省略is/are是很常见的用法，比如：I ate an apple, an apple too delicious to resist 或者 I love that woman, a woman so beautiful.
