求问大神 Manhattan练习题

这道题选E 我稍微有些明白 of是限定词而that是解释一整件事，这里强调fear的是insufficient supplies无法满足冬天燃料的需求 这一整件事 ，而不是fear的是insufficient supplies



但对比Manhattan的练习题，

• The principal tried to calm the worried students’ parents, as a result of those students fighting at the pep rally.错误
• The principal tried to calm the worried parents of the students who had fought at the pep rally.正确
  

它说what is worrying the adults is not the students themselves but their fight.

我不明白 这两句难道不都是修饰students的吗 第一句是后置定语 第二句是定语从句？

因为第一句用的是as a result of... 你把第一句的fighting at the pep rally去掉就变成了 principle calmed the worried students parents, as a result of those students. 不合理，而第二句的话who had fought就先定了院长安慰那些学生的父母，哪些学生？打架的那群。

为什么不能把第二句的who had fought at the pep rally去掉呢？这样也变成 家长担心的是孩子 不是孩子们打架这件事
