1. Unlike emergency calls thattravel through regular telephone lines, where they thus automatically informthe operator of the location and phone number of the caller, cellular callsrequire emergency operators to determine the location of the caller. a) Alines, where they thusautomatically inform the operator of the location and phone number of thecaller, cellular calls require emergency operators to determine the location ofthe caller b) lines and thus automatically inform the operator of thelocation and phone number of the caller, cellular calls require emergencyoperators to determine the location of the caller c) lines, thus automaticallyinforming the operator of the location and phone number of the caller, thelocation of the caller on a cellular phone has to be determined by the operator d) lines, and thus automaticallyinform the operator of the location and phone number of the caller, emergencyoperators have to determine the location of the cellular phone caller e) lines, thus automaticallyinforming the operator of the location and phone number of the caller,emergency operators receiving a cellular call have to determine the location ofthe caller
从语法层面上来讲,我觉得AB两个句子都没有实质性的错误,A中 they thus automatically inform the operator of the location and phone number of the caller through regular telephone lines,也是成立的,而且regular lines也不是抽象名词,尽管说说through which可能比where好,但是你的目的应该是比较B比A好,而不是through which比where好呀,through which好怎么了,我where也没有错呀,所以用这个来说明B比A 好是不符合逻辑的;
看了Ron的视频,说A中where不好,因为it means"they actually deliver this message to the operator INSIDE the phone lines."
2. Unlike many United States cities, where a river is no longer the focal point of urban life, the river in San Antonio winds through the middle of the business district, and the River Walk, or Paseo del Rio, is the city's most popular attraction. - AUnlike many United States cities, where a river is no longer the focal point of urban life, the river in San Antonio
- BUnlike the river in many cities in the United States, which is no longer the focal point of urban life, in San Antonio the river
- CToday the river in many cities in the United States is no longer the focal point of urban life, unlike San Antonio, where it 分析该选项
- DIn few United States cities today, a river is the focal point of urban life, but the river in San Antonio
- ENo longer do many cities in the United States have a river as the focal point of urban life, but in San Antonio the river
