‘Good morning. I am planning to apply to IMD. I request your advice and inputs which could be of help to me.   Why did you choose this school vs others? How has it met your expectations?  Is there anything you wish you knew about the school when you were in my shoes, or at the beginning of the process? Who would you say this school is right for? ’
‘Personally, It was perfect match for me:  One year, credentials, emphasis on leadership, very strong in industry. IMD was the only MBA program I applied to.  And it has lived up to all my expectation so far, a really life-changing experience which u won't regret. Generally, I think IMD is ideal for applicants with industry or engineering background. But there're other factors, i.e. age/working experience/expected exit options need to be taken into consideration. My suggestion would be know more about the program and about yourself. Find out whether it's really what you want. Cause this year is going to be very touch, challenging you from every perspective. You need to be very clear about your motivation and hold your faith to navigate through. Hope this helps, and good luck with application!’

Hi Cyril,

Thanks for your kindness. Yes I requested by email but Antonio said IMD does not provide detailed reason at this stage of application. I guess applicant can only get the reasons only if he/she get interview but rejected in the end. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Still I was taken by surprise. IMD is the one that fits me very well otherwise I'll have to try INSEAD.

Appreciate if you have any tips to share. I guess I ran into the dead end.

I also suggest you to consider other aspects:
1) Composition of the students, i.e., 45 countries, various industries. This dynamic team can help you have a real international environment.
2) 90 candidates, compared with hundreds of candidates for other business school. We know each other very well, and most of us become tighter and tighter. Morale is intangible, but it exists.
3) The design of the program. There are 3 modules, and each module, you will be work with a new team of 6, and it is a good opportunity to sharpen your leadership, your ways to solve conflict, and improve your communication skills. You study together, complete project together, fight together. You live like a family.
4) IMD also helps you improve your soft skills.

I wish my sharing can give you more hints.

Dear Edison,
I am holding Hong Kong passport, so my advice might not be so helpful to you in this case. I suggest you apply for tourism visa.
