一开始先告诉各位大温地区的朋友一个坏消息：3个大温考点都没有位置了，我考之前那个考点工作人员说9月和10月的旧托福都没有位置了，
vancouver不用说，就连richmond和coquliam都没有了，不过各位第一次考/重考的朋友还是每天上网注意一下，因为有些人会

第一次考toefl,感觉还可以，考前也没怎么仔细复习，毕竟来了加拿大快2年了，每天做一下ppreview,让后看电视训练听力。很多人都有听力问题，其实多做PPreview的听力，适应一下题型，最重要的是要看看英语电视节目，像
National Geographic, some dramas, 还有像Late Show with Dave
Letterman之类的谈话节目（因为这些节目里面的人说话都很快，多听一下就发现toefl的听力是蛮简单的）。语法还是看看cd的语法笔记，多做是
关键。阅读的话我也被过单词，就是考之前一个月看了2本英语小说:George Orwell's

第二个长段子，生物，讲蜘蛛。Male比female 的size 要小，因为gravity pull的关系，male 为了完成与femail mate使命，只有size 小才能更灵活。(此处个双选题)而female因为lay eggs, 体型比male 要大。科学家研究表明，蜘蛛网挂得越高，male size就越小。而且，male只有小size才能避免被female 吃掉此处有题)

第五个lecture,很简单，参考8。23/8。25日前人jj gg把车停在了图书馆前，拿了ticket,mm 告诉他那些live off campus的学生才有special permit 把车停在图书馆前，live on campus 的学生要把车停在图书馆后。mm 说校园parking space very crowded, many students live in campous part in the place for those off-campus.So she has to take campus bus。 2 question, easy.

Passage 6 talk about James town which is the first place settlers in US. They trade with native, those native make some pottery to store food.And James town is destroyed by a fire and it's famous for some wall with triangle mark. Scientist thought the recent finding is from that James town's relics.

This maybe the same as those who are nomally employed, and contractor may choose to ... to avoid tax

阅读:

终于考完了，无论最后成绩如何，都不会再考了，一下感到轻松了许多。
总结一点，对于和我一样以前听力只有19分的人，没啥说的每天至少3小时听写。1个月，一定会有提高的。并且强烈建议考前看听力机井3个月的（只限和我一样的水平的人），都在里面，长段子一个也没跑的。不多说了，上机井。
听力（不按顺序）
短的全忘了，但是不少在机井上出现。
长段1，火星的火山与地球的区别。
长段2，deductive logic
长段3，鱼发出声音吸引异性
长段4，一点不记得，肯定在jj上。
对话1，mm看报子，和gg谈在报纸上登广告的事。
对话2，怎么也想不起了。肯定在jj上。
语法：就不说了。
阅读（我没看过jj，不过我想也差不多都有）
1，太阳黑子
2，鱼类与爬行动物的进化－－locomotion
3, 如何改善早期美国的城市living condition.
4. flok music 的发展，colonic period 和civil war对flok music的影响。
单词也基本都在jj里， 有一个我没发现： phenomena=occurrence.

9 3 jj DuoDuo USA CA experience sharing
1) I thought listening compresion JJ is very useful, in my case, Trojan Asteroid, Famale/Male spider size, GG get parking ticket all have been posted previously, my experience is to grasp its main idea and question point, but don't memorize other person's answer is case misconducting. With JJ, I can quickly grasp the main structure, at least I know what is the passage talking about, then I only need to pay attention to its detail mentioned in question point.
The other experience I have is get focused, and believe your first impression. 当我考到第三题时， 明显感觉越来越难。过了第五题。又回复正常。切记不要患得换是。让听力的胜负成为自然的结果。其实我做完听力后，感觉PART A很差， 好几题都是凭感觉猜的。不要犹豫，相信你的第一感觉。
I am a little surprise to get 29. Seems like 前人讲的听得越吐血分数越高颇有道理
The preparation I suggest is to focus on PP review by category (biology, astonomy)。 Plus selective view some backgroud based on JJ.
Oh, one more thing I forgot to mention, is one passage I found it in May 15 JJ. looks like ETS keep reusing those passage.
2) Grammer
Not too much to talk about. similar level as PP.掌握常用考点可以事半功倍。Such as while/during. n + adj sequence error. 词型混用等。多做全镇题 + a little luck = 13-30
3) After I finished all 44 choice, still 30 minutes left, I go through all of them. 讲化石的那篇应该是最难的， JJ volulabary are all appeared before. Recite the recent 3 months JJ voculabary should be enough. 那四篇应该都看的明明白白，搞不懂 why I have only 26. Most likely in those insert question. Plus that "what's the main idea" for informal economy. 那道题就算全中文也很难猜，绝大部分篇幅都在讲3 situation of that particular example of Ie 难道答案是 “Different transaction for IE?

Birds and reptile 那篇：
Birds and reptile are from same ancestor if not specifically talking about dianosour, there is a special kind of bird, scientist find some linke between birds and reptile.
The most striking discovery is in Gemany quarry, while scientist find a dianosour fossile, they originally though this is just like a normal predator. But to their suprise, this dianosour has feather.
This demonstrate birds and reptile come from same ancestor, Furthermore, scientist find several other similaties between, like teeth, toa, jaw something. and one particular characteristic which can only be found in birds

4) Writing
哥们把8/1至9/3 所有考过的writing go over, not writing in detail for each, but at least 3 reasons.再把对应每个reason 的例子想了想。实践发现重复极高。另外一个发现是 those writing which already happen in the past written test. it's very likely to happen again in CBT. 越是以前在笔考中考过， 越易出现。This is mostly due to ETS has gathered thousands of samples, that they can input more accurate data to adjust their computer program, I will discuss it later. 记得考试当天起床第一件事看看最新JJ's writing topic, Same day very possible to have same topic. Especailly when you are in western coast, while someone in eastern coast which is 3 hours before you may already post it online.
作文30 minutes I can tell you is very very limited, when I see my topic, fortunately it's been tested 2 days ago in other jj, I immediately write 3 reason on the paper, then begin to type my template first, then add blood and muscle. A hint, if you can't think of any example to exemplify, then simply write " Take me as an example", then those ideas will keep coming out of your brain though no one care it's fake or not.
Remember after 3 reasons, you can have a paragraph like " Admitted, as a proverb says, "everything has 2 sides". BBB also has some undeniable merits ...... However, AAA carry more weight than .... " Be sure to type this paragraph last in case you are short of time, Write your "To sum up .... " first. when enough time left, go back to add this paragraph.
I have been doing computer programming for many years, If ETS can have a computer to give score, (always remember computer is impossible to be as smart as people), Then most likely its program is desinged to just
a) How many words of this writing
b) How many syntax/grammer/spelling error,
C) Compared with its internal model essay(that's why ETS like those old writing topic) to see any better expression, such as point 3 people say " it's important that... " 5 point "On no account can we ignore the significance".
Also computer will check those keywords for 3 reason, such as " First, Furthermore, Last but not least" with those words and 3 separate paragraph you have at least point 4.
And your essay structure. 5 paragraph, head, conclusion, 3 reason, plus " admittedly".
I believe everyone knows once computer give you a 5, then your final score will be between 4.5 to 5.5 depending the teacher. so all you have to do it try to cheat that stupid computer. Remember in the computer world, 硬性指标更重要，Computer won't be able to tell 你的立意标新立异。观点独特。哪个好写就agree that opinion. Structure and number of words are more important.
Hope it can抛砖引玉。
