四大2年半后跳槽对申请的影响

第一次在CD甚至论坛上发帖。。。好紧张，不造格式对不对。。。anyway进入正题

楼主背景四大咨询2年多，打算申18年美国MBA，目标是top10-20，从现在到明年入学楼主不打算空窗，想再换份工作做一年，目前已拿到俩offer：1，国内某top5互金公司内审部；2，日本某top3药企内审部。

因为location的问题，楼主在这俩里面已经有了preference。不过毕竟俩offer行业差距蛮大，也还在纠结中，不知之后申请写essay的时候哪个experience会更helpful，或者说分别对申请有啥影响？求CD各位前辈解惑啊～～～

其实客观来讲，跳槽一部分原因是找份不太加班的工作好多留点时间申请，之前的team加班忒狠。。。然后另一主要原因其实也是想深入甲方进一步熟悉业务，毕竟之前做咨询对行业了解太general。所以大致的career path是：四大咨询的经历锻炼的一些solve problem的能力等+药企/互金行业top公司对业务条线流程的深入了解+MBA=毕业后去到药企/互金业公司做GM。。。。不知道有没有大的逻辑漏洞= =

因为并没有真正switch，其实这两个offer给的都是内审部，而且据了解基本不会有什么大的职位变动如果一直在这俩公司做下去，所以想通过MBA做到这两个行业之一的公司的GM。。。所以申MBA前从四大出来在企业做一年也是想了解深入了解行业情况

industry 和 function 都变了，应该是career switch了。

一般都是碰到职业天花板了以后，会考虑MBA来加速晋升，或是直接想换行的情况。

GM的话，其实不通过MBA也能做到。希望这个理由能convince AO呢

一般申请之前，不鼓励换工作或是GAP， 这样自己的职业路径能清晰一些。

So the answer is simple: Choose the job you prefer in the industry you prefer. You can always make a case for any job in any industry for your MBA. But you also need to do a bit what you like and what you are good at.

Also keep in mind that the choice you make now, will also define the choices you will make later. So if you go into pharma, you will likely continue in that industry!

Thanks for your suggestion! Although I haven't been familiar with either internet financial company or Pharma company very well so far (my last work experience mainly focuses on securities and insurance industry), I have more interest in Pharma industry and want to explore it, especially after I read the CSR report of the Pharma company. So yeah, you are right, I will go into and understand further the industry that I am really interested in.
