Helr老师说：在逻辑上，“情感是社会现象”和“情感是和身体的反应分不开的”之间没有转折（though）关系。
为什么？我觉得有：身体反应是个人的，但却有studies证明这是一个社会现象。
难道是说：有人觉得emotions只影响自己，但研究证明它影响整个社会吗？

我不是很明白你写的问题，也没有上过Helr 老师的课，下面是我的分析

A: emotions 是复数，后面系动词不能用is
B: correct
C: 这里考的是代词的those，在同一句句子中相同的代词必须指代同一个名词。非划线部分 those deemed 这里的those 指代emotions, 同理划线部分的 those 也是指代emotions. 楼主把emotions 带入到划线部分就得到: emotions, 非划线, are a social phenomenon but are not emotions separable --> emotions are not emotions separable? 这句句子是non sense.
D: but 是个平行标志, 前后形式是要平行的，显然这里不平行
E: 划线部分前 or 是平行标志 personal ADJ modifier 和 as private emotions 这是个ADV modifier 不平行

including 后面的修饰，是可以被删去也不会影响句子中心意思的modifier。 所以 personal / private 在这儿跟social phenomenon 在句子中的分量都不是一个等级的，也就不会形成对比。
（插一句，这也是为什么OG 会说：including needs to be set set off from the rest of the clause. 因为一是用法问题，二是他就是个modifier)

句子中心是：
Recent studies advance the argument that emotions are social phenomena.
最近的研究进一步证明情感是社会现象。

--加入modifiers--
什么样的情感？
1.包括那些被认为是比较私人的情感。（这包含一层意思说，personal or private emotion 只是emotion的一部分）
2.那些和身体反应不可分割的情感。
