it指代问题

想问一下it/they这样的代词是否可以A’s B里的A呢？如The airline's proposed purchases of as many as 250 medium-range planes will probably be the basis of an overhaul of its routes; it is expected that it will increase the number of direct point-to-point flights, instead of continue to use feeder aircraft to bring passengers to major hubs.

这里的it是否可以直接指代airline?

possessive noun cannot be represented by pronoun, but can by possessive pronoun.

也就是说这里its routes的指代airline's是没问题的，但是句子里并没有出现airline, 当然也就不存在指代的问题。

这里更重要的错误在后面， instead of continue to use, of 后面不能直接接一个verb

那请问用红色标出来的it可否指代the airline's proposed purchases中的the airline呢？是不是pronoun指代的都是A's B中的B？

不可以，指代什么不确定，但是不能指代所有格的名词
