答案是B没有问题，但是B中a work that took him seven years to complete 中的that应该在定从中作主语，和后面的定从that literary critic Samuel Johnson, Pope’s contemporary, pronounced中的that 是在作宾语；根据白勇语法149页的功能相同原则（不同功能的定从不能并列，因为关系词在定从中充当不同的成分，如n.+where....and in which 不能并列） 表明似乎这2个定从不能并列。
