So I hear your concerns, and it may that things didn’t work out as great for your friend as he had hoped, but from what we are seeing the placements (and salaries) that are coming out of S16 programs are still pretty fantastic. And the numbers coming out of the schools themselves are bearing this out.
Of course it depends also on your friend’s profile. It’s very hard to move BOTH country and industry at the same time. And in fact if you want to change industries atfer an MBA, the easier way to stay in the US to work for a while afterwards, because then you can work on being recruited while you are there. If you think just “Getting an MBA” with “magically make you awesome” it’s not as simple as that. You still have to make use of the career services, and recruiting etc.
