Who you work with

Professor Yuchang Hwang(黄裕昌), Professor of Accounting,Chair of Finance and Accounting Department at CEIBS, who earned his PhD fromUniversity of California at Berkeley, taught at University of Pittsburgh andArizona State University and received several teaching excellence awards. He is interested in managerial accounting research and focus on incentive design ofinnovation (创新激励机制设计). Having published extensively on topacademic journals, he is currently on the editorial board of several leading accounting journals including The Accounting Review. Professor Weiru Chen (陈威如), Associate Professor of Strategy at CEIBS, who earned his PhD at Purdue University, taught at well-known business schools including INSEAD and won several best paper awards and teaching awards, and authored two best-selling books Platform Strategy (平台战略:正在席卷全球的商业模式革命) and Platform Transformation(平台转型:企业再创巅峰的自我革命). What you work on

Intra-firm innovation and entrepreneurship (企业内部创业孵化的战略与机制)

Major theme: To explore why and how organizations transform themselves or incubate new business internally to achieve sustainable competitive advantages.

What you do

Assist in various research activities, including:

§Literature reviews, 文献综述

§Company visits and interviews, 企业访谈

§Interview data coding, 访谈数据编码

§Teaching case development, 教学案例开发

§Practical article writing, 应用性文章撰写

§Manuscript preparation, and 书稿准备

§Coordination of research projects; 研究项目协调

Get paid to be inspired and mentored to understand the world with different lens, andgrow your heart and soul through efforts.

Who you are

§  Experience in 1) analysis2) research or 3) consultancy would be preferred. In particular,skills in 1)conducting face-to-face interviews and qualitative data analysis or2)analyzing data with statistical software (e.g., STATA/ SPSS/ R etc.) would bepreferred;

§  A master or Bachelor degree in Management/Phycology/Accounting/Economics (esp. inStrategy/Entrepreneurship / Organizational Behavior) would be preferred;

§  A clear desire to pursue a PhD overseas would be preferred;

§  Excellent interpersonal interface such as communication skills and business etiquette wouldbe a plus;

§  Excellent command of English and Mandarin is a must;

§  Excellent use of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is a must.
