为什么不用not making的表达呢

to make在意思上让我想不通 ~

这题就是考察平行。注意在做题的时候如果划线部分出现了AND就一定要重点关注平行的问题。

D最大的问题是不平行。

B 选项里面... to distinguish discrete sounds and words and, as a result, to make
as a result 用两个逗号隔开，作为non-essential modifier可以删掉不看。
注意红色部分 ... to verb AND to verb...非常平行。

而D里面。to distinguish discrete sounds and words, and results in not making
to verb AND verb? 显然不平行。

嗯嗯我不理解的方面主要是句子的意思，as a result后面用否定形式句子意思更合理一点。

因为hamper the ability 所以没法很好的make sense of speech——这样才讲得通嘛

而B项的to make 是一个肯定形式的表达，所以做题时直接弃了
