principle后面的从句没有理解。。that 是做什么成分呢？这句话怎么翻译呢？

定语从句啊，Thevillage crafts  have developed through the principle。 什么样的principle 呢：形式跟随功能和材料，using traditional skills，是这样一种过程的伴随动作。

可是还有一点疑惑这里的that在后面的句子里好像不作成分，是不是应该是that引导principle的同位语从句呢？

又仔细读了一遍题目，感觉之前的理解有些偏颇。之前把incorporate理解成了形容词，这是不对的。incorporate应该是动词，和have 平行。crafts have developed through ... and incorporate materials.
1. that form follows function. 是principle的同位语从句，形容principle的具体内容。
2. crafts incorporate materials，是指的crafts将各种各样的material 进行合并。
3. materials fashioned using traditional skills，fashion是形成的意思，这些 materials 是怎么形成的呢？是通过使用traditional skills才形成的材料。这里，using traditional skills = by using traditional skills . （举个例子，通过传统打磨的技术，将宝石打磨之后，这些crafts再将这些打磨后的宝石进行镶嵌等，也就是将fashioned material 进行incorporate）。

总的翻译下来，就是crafts从这样一种原则中演变出来，什么样的原则呢，形式跟随功能；这些crafts还将那些通过传统技巧造就的各种各样material进行了合并。

这道题目本身不难，但是这个句子确实不好理解。LZ在做完题目之后还愿意再多想想，非常有心。
