本年度申请论文题目解析第二发献给最不按理出牌的HBS。

招生办老大Dee Leopold离职后，所有人一脸懵懂不知录取taste是否也相应会有所转变，学校的essay题目随即从去年昙花一现的“Introduce yourself” 回归了13和14年采用的老题。仔细一看还是略有差别的——之前是We can see your resume, school transcripts, extra-curricular activities, awards, post-MBA career goals, test scores and what your recommenders have to say about you. What else would you like us to know as we consider your candidacy? 今年用的是what more。当然这不是“大家来找茬”游戏，只是从这个more可以推测，如果有些事情在简历、推荐信等材料中说得意犹未尽，学校是鼓励你elaborate一下的。它在意的从来不是“应该不应该”说些什么，而是“say something meaningful”。

如果收到面试邀请的申请人写的文章代表了HBS adcom的品味，那么基于这几年ChaseDream的样本我就可以负责任地说，这几乎没有固定的规律可循，我甚至见过写career goal + why school的文章收到Offer的——这显然并不是为HBS tailor的，也是多数人不敢轻易冒的险。

在去年的解析中，我提到这篇文章几种有代表性的写法。在这里我想跟大家再次强调一下strategically把握整体package的重要性。我用自己上学期申请到我校Center for the Education of Women奖学金的故事作为例子。

很明显，这个申请是有明确主题的，关于“女性的教育机会”。然而整个学校里那么多女学生都在申请，人人都有理由被鼓励，为什么我应该被选中？我的简历已经写了我在哪里读书在哪里工作，我过去的三十年几乎都在和教育打交道，然后呢？
