115 Some people prefer to plan activities for their free time very carefully. Others choose not to make any plans at all for their free time. Compare the benefits of planning free-time activities with the benefits of not making plans. Which do you prefer - planning or not planning for your leisure time? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your choice.
When speaking of holidays or vacations, some people always prefer to carefully plan them in advance. Others, however, would like to spend them more casually. Though, both the two approaches have their own advantages, in my opinion, I am inclined not to make plans.
Regarding to the benefits of making plans, first of all, an elaborate plan could maximize the efficiency for one's leisure time. For example, with a detail schedule before a trip, people could fully take advantage of the time during the destination, eliminate some boring scenery and avoid wasting time on the way. Secondly, with a plan in hand, people could prepare for the necessaries as well. Otherwise, it would be embarrassed if you forget buying some ingredients for a well planned barbecue. So it is obvious that carefully planning in advance enable people to get prepared for what they want to do.
On the other hand, no plan is also a kind of way of quite a lot of people to spend their leisure time, those who prefer more freedom and liberty. In our life, there always full of changes beyond our control, so that plans sometimes seem easy to be ruined. A wonderful idea to the beach would be destroyed by sudden bad weather; a group travel would probably be canceled because one of the organizers could not attend---this list can go on and on. In contrast, no plan looks relatively more flexible, which at least would not lead you to a bad mood with a pity. In addition, to some extent, making plans for leisure time, bring the feeling as making an appointment for a coming meeting. Leisure time is the break from work, so why bother yourself by adding an additional job for relaxation.
In conclusion, although different people may have their view respectively, no plan for leisure time is my way to spend them, in that I more tend to freely and casually take pleasure in the rest time. |
