I wrote something on the course and the university back in 2015.

2 years forward (May 2017 now):
- I would say around 60% of the class have gone back to their countries, including Europe, US, and other cities in China (mostly Shanghai and Shenzhen).
- The remaining 40% in Hong Kong. Most of us have found jobs in the financial industry, including sell-side (Sales, Trading, IBD, etc), buy-side (PE, Hedge funds, asset management), Corporate banking, Operations.
- Almost none from my class went to Management consulting or Accounting. I guess it is because there are 3 other courses within HKUST which supplies candidates to the other areas, including Mgmt consulting and accouting/audit. A large proportion of MSc Accounting graduates went to accounting-related jobs, and some within MSc Global Operations/MSc International Management went to other business sectors like Human Resources, Consulting, industry, etc.
Hope this helps.
