Different people go to the college for different reasons. In my opinion, I think that to get more systemic knowledge, prepare for future occupations and make friends are the three main reasons for going to the college.
College or university is the best place to systematically study. It not only supplies library but also labs where you can find more information that you are interested and you can do experiments under the instruction. Also it has different courses from the high school. For example, it has philosophy that can deep our thought, and mathematics that can make us smart. In addition to these facilities, it also has professional teachers who can teach us knowledge, give us advice and instruct us during the semester. That’s more effective than just reading books by our own.
The second reason is people want to find a better job or change their occupations for studying in the college. Some good jobs require high techniques or high diploma. Sometimes people already have a good job, but that’s not his favorite even not his interest. In the college, there is specific education in the certain fields. Consequently, it’s necessary to study in the college. For example, if we want to be a doctor, we have no choice; the only way is to go to the college.
The third reason and not the last one is people can make a lot of friends in the college. For instance, when you register a course, you have many classmates you can talk with them, and after class you can go out for the leisure time. For example, if you like to exercise, you can go to gym with them, and you can change some information and encourage each other to do the better exercise.
In conclusion, I support the people to go to the college for systematic information, career preparation and making friends.
