我讚成選(A)

因為我認為此題前半段的重點在於"產生body heat的方法",所以(A)較能強調兩種方法的差異. (E)感覺上像是在強調"Body Heat的來源".

P.S.可以請樓主再確認一下原題rather than之後是否有"by"嗎?

关于这一题，我有不同的看法，我认为如果A不正确，那么E更不正确。A不正确的原因是缺少介词by,而C一样缺介词。我觉得这题正确答案的形式应该是 rather than by burning calories for generating it 或者补出介词from, rather than from burning calories. 而E并没有补出任何介词，也不平行，E要跟drawing heat from sun平行要用动名词instead of genrating body heat by burning calories.所以A不对，E也错！如果一定要平行，就只能选D了，D中的for和it用得不好，可是只是简洁性的问题。我不是nn，只是个人一点看法，也许有问题，请大家指正。并且我还觉得题目有问题，也许失真了。

A: rather than burning calories to generate it  正确（by drawing body heat from sun rather than burning ….. 即：by v-ing rather than v-ing, 强调两种方式的比较）补充：第2个by 可省，因为两个v-ing都做by 的兵语）

B: rather than the generation of body heat by burning calories  （不对称，方式和名词的比较  错！）

C: and not from generating it by burning calories  （同理sun 和 ving比较  错）

D: instead of by burning calories for generating it   （1.instead of 不如rather than好2.for doing 不如 to do好）

E: instead of body heat generated by burning calories （ 语法ok, 但意思错。并列：by drawing their body heat from sun instead of body heat …..，是两种不同能量（名词）的比较，都做draw的兵语，draw的意思是：吸取…，从外界吸收。所以后者：吸取自己内部产生的能量意思搭背错，即逻辑意思错。）

e的逻辑意思是错的，原题说他们直接从太阳获取体热而不是燃烧卡路里来获取，而e说他们只用直接从太阳获取的体热而不用那些由燃烧卡路里而获得的体热，他们不是愿意用这样的体热，而是这样获得体热的方法他们不喜欢。简化来说e的意思就是他们喜欢这样的体热而不喜欢那样的体热。反正都是体热有什么区别啊。open to discuss
