这素一份弱弱的总结 "Which" Modifier - Thursday with Ron

潜水党表示第一次发帖感觉很紧张……嘤嘤嘤

总是弄不清Which用法的我听了Ron神的课(*☻-☻*) 森森的觉得大神就是大神呐 要不要讲的那么清楚的orz
然后为了整理思路 把Ron神此课的基本内容都总结下来了，不只是屏幕上有的，他说的话我也基本上都敲下来啦
其实Ron神讲课哪都好。。就是。。废话多了点。。再加时间久了点。。节奏慢了点。。每节课内容少了点
所以吧。。捐粗总结给没时间的去听课的童鞋。。积攒一下人品。。。
这节课包含了一些Which的亘古神经病题 比如Jupiter。。Dickinson。。。之类的
最重要的是 Ron神分析的语意 真的 很 棒！！！
这节课的内容弄懂了的话 基本不是特别丧心病狂的这类问题应该都能会了
嘤嘤 看看很快的 几分钟的事情

of New York happy. （”New york makes the government happy” doesn’t make sense. ）
在最后部分，这个例子好奇怪
为啥第一句能跳过NY，第二个就不行？

ny 是单数 make是复数 trucks是复数

请教楼主一个关于which跳跃修饰的问题，
之前在CD上看到一个大神的分析贴，上面说
在前有“核心词+介词、分词等修饰结构”或者插入语的情况下，which跳跃修饰前面的核心词，不能修饰紧邻的名词。
下面是例子：
From the bark of the paper birch tree the Menomini crafted a canoe about twenty feet long and two feet wide, with small ribs and rails of cedar, which could carry four persons or eight hundred pounds of baggage so light that a person could easily portage it around impeding rapids.
可是最近看了prep，发现里面有一条说which不一定跳过插入语指代，也有个例子
Marconi conceived of the radio to be a tool for private conversation, a substitute for the telephone, which has become......
在OG解释中，which就近指代了telephone，但telephone在“a substitute for the telephone”的插入语中

不知道应该怎么解释呢
