对了,大家认为这个题目中举的Events是假设一个情景/事件吧,如果是列举一个自己过去present过的一个Event，并说明为何参加的，可以吗？

另外，有没有人在BW上看到是否有老外门在讨论今年的Essay题目？见到烤过来如何？

Yeah，i consider it as a assumed event ranther than a real event you have attended.
Well, as for the conversation in elevator, it is not a big deal since you can paraphrase it to the question--- Why you choose our school. Anything new?

If you are a master writer, you could try some informal method. But, for ordinary people, you'd better stay in more formal way.

I think it really doesn't matter which tense you're using, as long as it's consistent.
