I am not sure if it is correct information or not. To my knowledge, there are a few first year students directly from mainland. As to me, I am from mainland also, and got a free ride. So the best advice is to do your homework, shoot some emails to current students and admission officers.  Madison is a wonderful city that assure you have a colorful life while pursuing your MBA.
