人家说的是 State capitol building, 不是building to protest.

seek 在加抽象概念是才加for , 感觉改为, seeking some part-time jobs,is more idiomatic.

后面的那句用递进的连词更好些, and it is also possible that those students would plan to take another protest against the proposed cut in funding next month if they didn't succeed this time.( 说下个月比较合理, 一般不会一月两次那么频繁.)
