152 Many parts of the world are losing important natural resources, such as forests, animals, or clean water. Choose one resource that is disappearing and explain why it needs to be saved. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.

With the tremendous development of modern society, human activities affect the environment much more than ever before, especially many natural resources, such as forests, animals, and clean water. Considering the particular importance of vegetation in our country nowadays, among these resources, I will elaborate the necessity to prevent forests from disappearing.

First and foremost, our atmosphere will be more and more polluted if lack of enough forests. As we all know, foliages are such excellent oxygen-makers that all the organisms around them can get enough air to keep the breathing process. Annual statistic indicates that the quality of air in most of megalopolis and some big cities is normally much horrible than in rural and suburb. Obviously, the more plants growing near our habitat, the fresher atmosphere around there. Moreover, the regions involving a great deal of chemical factories need trees and grasses to purify the lightly polluted air particularly.

Moreover, forests are the homes of most animals. Can you imagine that so many creatures will share your families with you if they can not fine other places to live in? Not only the good-sized animals but also the insects need large capacious wild places to forage, play, inhabit and so forth. If the forests are decreased sharply and an elephant has to share the room with you, will you still intend to have a nice sleep or worry about your ceiling to vanish?

Another reason can be seen by every person is that we also should worry about the flooding if the place has no forests’ protecting. Some places lack of adequate vegetation for long time will be turned into wastelands or deserts, especially adjacent the aquatic areas. In my native country, China, every year hundreds and thousands miles of ground near the Yellow River become loess, which compel the government to put a lot of money into it.

In conclusion, taking into account of all these factors, it is not difficult for us to reach the conclusion that forests are as important for us all as animals and clean water, etc. Since more and more persons on earth begin to realize the imminence, we should devote ourselves to this public undertaking.
