这道题还原前半句貌似是
raider ants are unlike leaf cutters and most other ants in having nests ...这种情况下in doing应该是指向主语的吧

选项D指出的问题可以这么理解，这里的in后面接的动名词ing短语是在指出radier ants和其他的ants不一样的地方，unlike....in sth....，所以OG解释，这里可能是修饰raider ants的。

对的，如果这样理解的话就通了呢。可能in doing的情况是一种特例吧，翻了很多OG的题目，”contrary to/like/unlike A……“  后面跟的内容都是在描述A的。这样的还真是少见。

今天又做到一题因为which前面太多pre＋noun，noun，而导致which指代referent不明的OG题目：OG16 SC86: To map Earth's interior, geologists use a network of seismometers to chart seismic waves that originate in the earth's crust and ricochet around its interior, (选项B)which travel most rapidly through cold, dense regions, and more slowly through hotter rocks. 解释是：The referent of the relative pronoun which is unclear.

我想whose不会造成歧义，因为它像which这些是指代前面最近的名词或者名词+介词+名词结构。
我在想平行的问题，c答案中leaf cutters and most other ants, whose nests are situated underground or in pieces of wood感觉没有平行，反而d答案leaf cutters and most other ants in having nests or in pieces of wood,使得和in pieces of wood 平行

你这个平行找的不对....situated underground 和situated in pieces平行 共同承接的是situated而不是前面的

我看到曼哈顿论坛上说OG的解释是外包的 所以也许我们不用太纠结OG的解释 我问了一个老师 他的解释在于D的语法是错误的 介词后面要么就接一个一般性名词 要么就接一个分词放在句首做状语 D这种表达在语法上是错误的 还有即使对 在结构上也十分冗余
