谈谈我做这个题的步骤，期望能有所帮助：

首先，that引导定语从句修饰thought processes，排除B（whose在GMAT中用于修饰人，且表示所有格，这里emergence不是思维过程所有的）和E（新东方语法老师意见，unlikely to do和able to do都不能省略be动词）。

其次，may be就表示推测，unlikely to do也表推测，所以重复，排除A

我觉着C和D的差别不在于may或者might，而在于weeks之前的介词in。句子“thought processes may not emerge in other procedures or in weeks of ordinary interviews”，表达了两个意思：一个是这个思维过程不出现在其他过程中，另一个意思就是“这个思维过程不出现在普通面试几周之后”。因此，in other procedure和in weeks of ordinary interviews是并列的状语，表示两种状况。如果选择D，那么under这个介词能与other procedure（也不是很好），但不能与weeks of ordinary interviews搭配。

OG中也有这样的题：。。。造成了森林生长的缓慢和森林的危害（抱歉没记得题号），其中the slowing of growth of and the damage to the forest（好像是这样的），森林的生长和森林的危害需要用不同介词，所以在forest之前加不同介词。
