那要看你高中和高考的英语成绩，好的话就ok.

同意楼上的，你的分数在考虑范围内，所以就要看你其他条件拉，如果你其他方面都很优秀，是可以被录取的

I only know the situation of undergraduate. if grad. you might ignore me. ur score seems not suitable to apply for that major although it meets the lower criteria. after consulted the u of t secretary, the feedback was to have the score of 250/5. if not, either the general or twe, they suggested me to take an english course once the general is above 230 but not above 250 or even the general is above 250 but the twe is in the scope from 4.5 to 5.0. i totally agree with the opinion on the 5th floor. to sit this test again will do great to ur application. of course, on the other hand, you might phone them for further consultation. good luck and same to me.

但如果UT satisfied 这个分数，是不是就不用考拉；还是说，即使satisfied，也许会因为分数不够高，而被别人挤出局，被拒掉啊

there are certain programs that are really tough to get in, for example, life science or commerce.

if there are two applicants. let's say student A and B, they both have exactly the same average. However, A has a TOEFL score of 270, while B only has 250. THen any university will definitely choose the one with 270.
