排名真地很重要吗？[讨论]

拿中国来说，如果你不是清华北大毕业的（我以前工作的单位特别迷信清华，基本中高层以清华为主，雇主的概念是清华的和不是清华的)，谁会在乎你是南大，浙大，复旦，科大，又有谁会在乎你是天大，南开，西交，上交，武大，华中，哈工.....毕业的呢，至于中国的20~50，50~100位的高校对招聘单位而言基本没什么区别了！国外应该也差不多把？

相信这样的公司，现在应该少之又少了。

There are so many biases in the ranking.



Each school is like a person.  How can you give a person a score for his or her greatness?



Ranking is just a reference.  The good part of it is that the
magazines collect a lot of numbers.  The facts they provide are
far more important than the conclusions they draw.

The differences among groups are large, while the difference within groups is minimal.
