Actually, I do not think u have any advantage in application for phd.
Although I do not know the education system of the England, I much doubt its admission standard. As what you said, your major is cs however the major of your master is fm. It is so weird. Fm is not easier than what we imagine so if you have not strong math background, don't touch this nut. Have you learned some courses ie. probability, mathematical statistics, pde, ode, numerical method, real analysis, computational math, mathematial model, stochastic process, regressional analysis, SDE, BM。。。。。。 if your major is physics, I think you are suitable for fm program. If not, I think you will have a long way to run.
My major is cs too. But to apply finance math, I take a second degree for math. So if I were you, please calm down first and make my math background stronger. After that, you only have changce to plan your next step. It is only my personal opions!!! Good luck!
